Partner Organizations
Legacy of Life plays an important role of connecting donors
with organizations who supply the medical field and facilitate
the medical transplantation process for recipients.
With the help of Legacy of Life, and the following partners,
Donors are changing the lives of people in need everyday. The
organizations we work with are:

Our mission is to enhance the quality of patient care by providing
only safe, high quality allograft tissues to health care professionals
for both transplant and research.
RTI Biologics

RTI prepares human donated tissue and bovine tissue for transplantation
through extensive testing and screening, precision shaping and
proprietary, validated sterilization processes. These allograft
and xenograft implants are used in dental, head and neck, ophthalmology,
spine, sports medicine, urology and other specialty surgeries.
Shriner Children's Burn Hospitals

Part of a network of 22 hospitals that provide expert, no-cost
orthopedic and burn care to children under 18.

About Juan, a donor,
as told by his wife Mary…
I want to tell a little bit about my husband,
and what he loved best. He loved to go fishing.
He loved to watch football. But, most of all he
loved his family. Juan believed in being an organ
donor because of what happened to his nephew,
who is alive and well today because of a liver
transplant. My husband had a big heart, and when
he died I know it was his wish to be a donor. |

About a donor, Jackie, as
described by her family
She was only nineteen when the Lord decided to
take her home. She loved life and lived it to
the fullest. Jackie was such a giving and loving
person. Through Legacy of Life she is still giving
to many others who will never have the chance
to meet her or get to know her. But, she knows
of her gift!

About Johnny, a donor, as
told by his wife Yolanda
Immediately upon Johnny's death, I was asked if
I would donate his eyes, bone, and body tissue.
Without any hesitation, I agreed on giving someone
else the opportunity to be able to see, or the
opportunity to walk, or even feel. Giving someone
else a chance to live a normal life would have
been his legacy. My greatest wish and desire is
that everyone would consider donating their loved
one's organs and tissues to experience the great
joy and peace we now know from helping others
in need. |
